We take the adage that you should be ready for anything to a new level. We believe that everyone, from soccer mom to Navy SEAL, has the ability to do extraordinary things. Our training and classes reflect our passion for pushing the limits of the human body in a way that builds strength, power, speed, and cardiovascular health while minimizing the risk of injury. We'll help you break through your limits and reach your goals.

The Facility

We are a 5,000 square foot space designed for easy flow from entrance to workout space, bathrooms, shower, and hospitality area. Feel free to hang out and have a coffee while you wait for your WOD, or stretch out in the mobility area as the last class finishes up.

Beginners are welcome and encouraged to come try a class!

Working Out With CFC

Our programs follow the CrossFit training methodology: Constantly Varied, Functional Movements, Executed at High Intensity. We use circuit training, strength training, and metabolic conditioning drills to improve the whole continuum of health.

"Intense" means different things for different people. An Olympic powerlifter may not get intense at a 400 lbs deadlift, but a new athlete may be working intensely at a 25 lbs kettlebell press. We strive to make every workout intense in a safe and effective manner for every athlete. Never be afraid to come into class; we'll push you to your limits, not someone else's.

Our workouts are always changing, hitting new muscles, new movements, new combinations. Constantly varied workouts help you train for any situation; to be able to perform in any capacity at any time is our goal. You will do things you never thought you could do.

CROSSFIT LEVEL 1 TRAINER & BOOTCAMP COACH

CrossFit Credentials:
Level 1 Trainer

Bio:
I’m an animal lover, entrepreneur, photographer, designer, coffee lover, fitness and adventure enthusiast. Owner of a local dog walking/pet sitting company, called Trails and Tails Pet Care. I’m an active person both in my personal and work life, which demands my body to be on top of its game constantly. In search of adding some strength conditioning to my normal hiking, running, and cycling routine, I needed to find something that truly intrigued me, so I’d stick with it.

My CrossFit journey started a little over 2 years ago and I was instantly hooked. I love the challenging-varied workouts and the camaraderie amongst athletes. I personally think CrossFit is the perfect platform for training for real life situations. It strengthens the body, mind and makes you dig into your soul at times. I’ve always been fascinated by what the human body can achieve. I’ve never had any other sport make me dig so deep, fatigue me to the point of falling on the floor, make me so determined to fight so hard for that last rep, and push me to the point of tears the way CrossFit does. It’s a beautiful challenge and it makes me feel like a badass. Who doesn’t want to be a badass?

I’ve been inspired by so many athletes and coaches, that I wanted to further my knowledge by taking the steps to become a coach. I’ve seen myself and many others lives change in the process, and I look forward to training and inspiring others within this amazing community.

Jennifer Hoyer

KETTLEBELL COACH

Fitness Credentials:
RKC Certified Instructor, Certificate in Holistic Nutrition

Bio:
Jen has been doing Crossfit for over 4 years and immediately fell in love with the Kettlebell. “Being new to weightlifting, I found learning the movements with a Kettlebell came naturally, where I had to fight and focus for it with a barbell.” Since then Jen has participated in numerous Kettlebell competitions and obtained her Russian Kettlebell Certification (RKC) to teach and share her passion with others.

Nutrition goes hand in hand with fitness and a healthy lifestyle. Jen has tried numerous “diets” and found while she lost weight it would send something else out of wack with her body. So in February 2018, Jen earned a certificate in Holistic Nutrition to help figure out what works best for her all around - But as with anything Jen learns, she is willing to share and help others too.

Jen manages the customer service and sales for the presort division at Corporate Mailing Services, Inc. and is on the executive board with the Greater Baltimore Postal Customer Council. She also enjoys hiking, spending time outdoors and with her daughter, and volunteering with Girl Scouts.

Megan Smith

CROSSFIT LEVEL 1 TRAINER

CrossFit Credentials:
Level 1 Trainer

Other Credentials:
BS in Health Science, BS in Sociology and minor in Psychology

Bio:
I live a very active lifestyle and have played sports ever since I could walk. CrossFit has filled the void that was created when I finished playing college softball. CrossFit is more than just getting a good workout, it is a community. I fell in love with CrossFit shortly after I joined my first CrossFit gym four years ago. The energy is contagious and the excitement you get when seeing others succeed is overpowering.

My favorite part about coaching is the moment when something clicks in an athlete and they get a movement, hit a PR, or push themselves past their threshold. Every day is an opportunity to get better because there is always room for progress. The journey looks different for every person but I love that I get the opportunity to help each person get closer to their goals.

Alex Corcoran

CROSSFIT LEVEL 1 TRAINER

CrossFit Credentials:
Level 1 Trainer

Bio:
I was captivated by CrossFit watching the professionals of The Games in a documentary on Netflix and so I spent my first month at a local gym repeating WODs from YouTube. Their passion for the sport overwhelmed me as well as their level of fitness. I spotted a CrossFitter in my gym, who stood out as most CrossFitters do, and I approached him and asked him about his routine. He recommended that I hit a box and when I did, I knew there was no turning back for me. After the first day I knew I would want to learn as much as I could and eventually coach one day.

I have always been into fitness and sports since a child. I played baseball all my life and still have played for a senior baseball league into my adult years. I became a personal trainer about 4 years ago and I am still pursuing my education in the field of exercise science. I have also been a martial practitioner for over 9 years studying internal Chinese boxing. CrossFit was definitely my missing link and I wish I had found it sooner but better late than ever.

It is hard to say what my favorite thing is about CrossFit because there are so many amazing attributes. Maybe I can say that it’s the truest system to life in that life constantly changes and is highly intense. CrossFit is universal, which means it for all people, at all stages of life and most importantly it grows with you. I want everyone to understand this vision I have for CrossFit and that it really is magic. Come into class regularly and you will be able to do things you never thought possible and keep things you thought you would lose.

GENERAL MANAGER, CROSSFIT LEVEL 1 TRAINER, CROSSFIT KIDS TRAINER

CrossFit Credentials:
Level 1 Trainer; CrossFit Kids Trainer

General Fitness Credentials:
American Counsel of Exercise Certified Personal Trainer

Bio:

I am an animal lover, foodie and the Gym Manager at CrossFit Catonsville. I joined CrossFit because I wasn’t getting what I needed out of going to Planet Fitness. I have no background in athletics and decided to try CrossFit on a whim in 2016. After my first workout, I knew this sport was for me.

CrossFit changed my life: it put me in great shape, allowed me to meet some amazing people and lead me to discover a huge passion for fitness. Watching our members better themselves
through this sport is what drove me to start coaching. I strive to inspire and push our members to reach their fitness goals whether they have been doing CrossFit for 5 years or have never touched a barbell in their life. What I love most about CrossFit is that it is for everyone and anyone.

When I am not at the gym, I am usually watching Netflix or playing with my two hounds dogs who I refer to as my children.
